Cargo & Bulk

Cargo & Bulk Shipping from Bali

Prices and rules checked

Past a certain size, a parcel service stops making sense and freight takes over. We handle sea freight as LCL, where your goods share a container, or FCL, where you take the whole one, plus air cargo when the date matters more than the cost. Quoted per shipment.

There's a point where courier pricing stops working. A few boxes go by parcel post. A room of furniture, a pallet of stock, or a container of goods doesn't, and sending it that way costs several times what freight would. Cargo is the same journey on a different vehicle, and the vehicle is chosen by volume rather than by urgency.

We arrange both. Sea freight is the cheap route and the slow one: as LCL your goods share a container with other shippers and you pay for the space you use, which suits anything from a few cubic metres upward. As FCL you book the whole container, which works out cheaper per cubic metre once you have enough to fill one, and your goods travel sealed and untouched. Air cargo sits between parcel and sea: faster than a ship, cheaper than express courier, sensible when a deadline exists but express would be absurd.

The freight itself is the straightforward part. What decides whether a shipment goes smoothly is the packing, the commercial documents, and the export clearance, and that's the part we do here rather than hand you a booking reference and wish you luck.

Who this is for

  • Furniture, homeware and anything past the size a courier will take
  • Bali businesses sending stock or fitout to a buyer overseas
  • People relocating who are moving a household rather than a suitcase
  • Exporters shipping regular volume who want one point of contact
  • Anyone who has been quoted an alarming number by a courier

Not a fit: Sea freight is measured in weeks, not days, so it's the wrong answer for anything urgent. Below roughly a cubic metre, parcel or air usually works out cheaper once handling and clearance are counted, and we'll say so rather than sell you freight you don't need.

What's included

Sea freight, LCL

Your goods share a container and you pay for the space you take. The usual answer for part loads.

Sea freight, FCL

The whole container to yourself. Cheaper per cubic metre once you have the volume, and sealed end to end.

Air cargo

Faster than sea, far cheaper than express courier. For deadlines that are real but not next week.

Packing, documents and clearance

Crating where it's needed, commercial invoice and packing list, and the export paperwork prepared with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between LCL and FCL?
LCL means less than container load: your goods share a container with other shippers and you're charged for the volume you occupy. FCL means full container load: you book the whole container. LCL suits part loads, FCL becomes cheaper per cubic metre once you have enough to fill one, and it also means your goods aren't handled alongside anybody else's.
How long does sea freight from Bali take?
Weeks rather than days, and the figure depends on the destination port, sailing schedules and clearance at the other end. We give you a realistic window when we quote, including the parts that are outside our control, rather than a best case you're unlikely to get.
When should I use cargo instead of a courier?
Roughly, when volume starts driving the price rather than weight. A courier charges heavily for space, so anything bulky gets expensive fast. Send us the dimensions and we'll compare both honestly, including the cases where a courier still wins.
Can you pack and crate for me?
Yes. Furniture, artwork and anything fragile going by sea needs packing built for the journey, and we do that here rather than assume the carrier will treat it gently.
How much does cargo from Bali cost?
It's quoted per shipment, because volume, destination port, commodity and clearance all move the number, and a published table would be wrong for almost everybody. Send us the dimensions, weight and destination and we'll come back with a real figure.
