We collect the details needed to move your parcel and to tell you where it is. We pass them to the courier carrying it and to customs, because a shipment cannot travel without them. We do not sell anything to anybody, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

Who is responsible for your data

Pos With Us, at our counter in Kerobokan, Badung, Bali, is the data controller for the personal data described here. In the language of UU No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, we are the Pengendali Data Pribadi.

If you want to ask about any of this, the fastest route is WhatsApp or the email address in the footer, and a person will answer.

What we collect

Only what a shipment or an account needs:

  • Your name, phone number and email address, so we can reach you about your job.
  • Sender and recipient addresses, which is the parcel's destination and cannot be avoided.
  • A description and declared value of the contents, which customs requires on the declaration.
  • Payment records for what you paid us, which we are required to keep for tax purposes.
  • If you use the customer dashboard: your login details, handled by our sign-in provider, and the shipment history attached to your account.
  • Any messages you send us, kept as the record of what was agreed.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For almost everything, because it is necessary to carry out the service you asked for: a parcel cannot be addressed, declared or tracked without it. For payment and tax records, because Indonesian law requires us to keep them. Where we rely on your consent rather than either of those, we will ask for it plainly, and you can withdraw it.

Who else sees it

Couriers and postal operators, because they are the ones carrying the parcel, and customs authorities in Indonesia and at the destination, because they require a declaration. This means a shipment abroad necessarily involves sending the recipient's details to another country. There is no way to send a parcel internationally without that happening.

Beyond that: our sign-in provider for the customer dashboard, and our payment records. That is the whole list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no Google Analytics, advertising pixel or third party tracker anywhere on this site.

How long we keep it

Shipment records are kept as long as a claim or a customs query could still be raised against them, and payment records for as long as Indonesian tax law requires. Dashboard accounts are kept while the account is open. Ask us to close yours and we will, keeping only what the law obliges us to hold on to.

Your rights

Under UU 27/2022 you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy of it, object to how it is being used, and withdraw a consent you gave. Ask on WhatsApp or by email and we will deal with it. We do not charge for this and we will not make you explain why.

If a request would break something we are legally required to keep, we will tell you exactly which part and why, rather than refuse the whole request.

Keeping it safe

Access is limited to the people at this counter who need it to do the job. The site is served over HTTPS and the dashboard sits behind a managed sign-in provider rather than a password system we wrote ourselves. If a breach ever put your data at real risk, we would tell you and the authority, as UU 27/2022 requires.

Worth repeating here, because it is where the real risk sits: we will never ask you for a verification code, a one time password or a card number over WhatsApp. If a message claiming to be from us asks for one, it is not from us.

Cookies

The public site sets no analytics or advertising cookies, which is why there is no consent banner on it. The customer dashboard sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, and nothing else.

Children

This is a service for adults and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Something here you want explained?

Ask. These pages are written to be read rather than to be impenetrable, and if a clause is not clear then that is our problem to fix, not yours to work around.
