Jewelry Shipping from Bali
Prices and rules checked
Bali makes jewellery, and most of it leaves. We send it every week, in plain packaging that gives nothing away, for makers, online sellers and visitors alike. Tell us what the piece is made of and what it is worth before you buy a box, and we will come back with the options and the price.
Bali makes jewellery, and most of it leaves the island. Some of it goes to a buyer who found it on Etsy, some to a wholesale order, and a good deal of it goes home in a parcel because it would not fit in the hand luggage. This is one of the things that moves across our counter most often.
The outer packaging is plain. No branding, nothing written on it about what is inside, nothing that makes a box worth opening. That is how we send every piece, not only the expensive ones, because the box that looks ordinary is the box that arrives.
What the piece is made of and what it is worth decide which services can carry it, and that changes more than people expect. So tell us both at the start rather than at the counter. If there is anything you need to know before you commit, you will hear it then, while you can still do something about it.
Who this is for
- Bali makers and silver studios sending finished pieces to buyers
- Etsy, Shopify and Instagram sellers shipping orders one at a time
- Wholesale orders going to a shop or distributor overseas
- Visitors sending a purchase home rather than carrying it
- Sellers who ship often enough to want it to be routine
Not a fit: Loose stones are the one thing we turn away regularly: a finished piece with the stone set into it is fine, the same stone on its own is not. Very heavy or very bulky consignments travel as cargo rather than as parcels, and are quoted separately.
What's included
Plain on the outside
Unbranded packaging with nothing on it about the contents, on every piece regardless of value.
Quoted on the piece, not on a table
Material, weight, value and destination all move the answer. Send us those four and you get a real figure.
Told before you commit
If something about your piece changes what is possible, you hear it before you have paid for anything.
Routine once it is set up
Sellers shipping regularly settle into a rhythm. See fulfillment if you would rather not handle each order yourself.
Packed properly, not just wrapped
Secured so it cannot move inside the box, because movement is what causes damage on a long trip.
Collected if you would rather not come in
We pick up across south Bali, which suits studios and anyone sending more than one order at a time.
Which service should you use?
These are the services we're sending on right now. We'll tell you which one we'd pick for your parcel, and why, before you commit to anything.
| Service | Runs on | Transit | Tracking | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DHL Express | DHL | 4 to 5 business days | Full, door to door | Anything urgent, valuable, or going to a customer who is waiting |
| FedEx | FedEx | 4 to 5 business days | Full, door to door | Much the same as DHL. We pick whichever is better for your route and weight |
| Pos Ekspor | Pos Indonesia, carried by DHL | 5 to 7 business days | Yes | A couple of days slower than DHL direct, and a little cheaper |
| Pos Registered / ePacket | Pos Indonesia | 14 to 30 days, sometimes longer | Limited | Small, light, low value things where cost matters more than speed |
Transit times run from the day your parcel is dispatched, not the day you drop it off, and customs can add a day or two at the far end. Freight is quoted per shipment, since it depends on weight, destination and the carrier's surcharge on the day.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you ship jewellery from Bali?
- Yes, and we do it every week, for makers and studios as well as for visitors sending a purchase home. Send us a photograph, tell us what it is made of, what it is worth and where it is going, and we will come back with the options.
- How is it packed?
- Discreetly. The outer packaging is plain and unbranded, with nothing on it that indicates what is inside, and the piece is secured so it cannot move around. That is standard on every piece, not an extra you ask for.
- How long does it take?
- It depends on the destination and the service. Express reaches most major destinations in about four to five business days; the economy services cost less and take longer. Tell us your deadline and we will say plainly which one meets it.
- Can you handle regular orders for my shop?
- Yes. Once the first shipment has established the paperwork, the ones after it are quick. If the volume is steady enough that handling each order is a chore, we can hold your stock here and send each order as it comes through.
- Can you collect from my studio?
- Yes, we collect across south Bali. It is free when the shipment is going abroad, you are in Kerobokan, Seminyak, Umalas or Canggu, and it fits on a motorbike. From further out we send a Gojek and you pay the fare.
- Can you send loose stones?
- No. Unset stones are refused whatever they are worth, and it is the refusal we make most often on an island like this one. A finished piece with the stone already set into it is a different thing and travels fine.
Send us a photograph
Tell us what the piece is, what it is made of, what it is worth and where it is going. We will come back with the options and what each one costs.
